Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund
Funded by the Department of Energy, Sustainability and Net Zero's Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), we're helping achieve Nottingham’s carbon neutral ambition by retrofitting homes across the city, reducing fuel poverty and carbon emissions alike.
We're aiming for all council homes in Nottingham to have an EPC rating of C or above by 2030. We're working towards this by looking at homes and developing solutions that are right for them - solutions that may include loft insulation, solar panels, external wall insulation, energy efficient lighting and more.
The government published new legislation in early 2025 to say that all insulation, whether it's internal or external, must meet Trustmark standards and hold the relevant accreditation. Please be reassured that all our work meets these standards. You can find out more about what the government has said here.
